Often, even my most fashionable clients are stumped on what outfits to choose for picture day. Listen…you should see the aftermath of my room after just trying to get myself together, so I can only imagine the stress involved for a family of four. Unfortunately, there is no perfect solution I can give you. But here are a few tips to kind help you corral everyone in.
- Be yourselves! If you’re not comfortable its hard to capture your true personality. You want your pictures to be reflective of YOU! The best portraits are the ones you can look back on and remember how Johnny would not go anywhere without those cowboy boots for an entire year.
- Everyone does not have to match. Try to coordinate outfits. Pick a color or theme. Maybe use one person’s outfit as a starting point and work from there.
- Think about where the pictures are going. If your living room is decorated in more neutral colors, you might want to have pictures that compliment that room.
